Young Aawaz project members and their families celebrated in style to mark the completion of this five year project.
The event was attended by 49 Young Aawaz members and their guests. The event highlighted the project’s aims and how each outcome has been over achieved. One of the Young Aawaz members Nafisa age 19 described as ” unique and one of its kind” . Another member Shahreen said ” Young Aawaz has helped me and so many young girls to show them the way to get more confident and to give a good positive image to our community”.
Young Aawaz Project Worker said “We are pleased and feel privileged that parents have put their trust in Young Aawaz and have got involved in the project along with their daughters, but there is much more work to do and young women have been holding consultation events to find out about further needs”.
Aawaz Chief Officer Zulekha explained that “an End of Project evaluation carried out by an External consultant Dr Karen Newbigging has highlighted the many positive outcomes and the lessons learned. We are sharing this evaluation with everyone who has worked with our project”.
