Ladies attending the Aawaz English improvement sessions have been learning about the religious and cultural customs surrounding Easter. During the school Easter holiday Aawaz arranged fun activities for children, mothers and the young at heart.

Activities at the Access Point have included Easter themed arts and crafts, with families and ladies working together to make quirky Easter chicks and Easter Bunny bags.

A “AAWAZ has got talent” contest gave women and children an opportunity to show off their talents and skills. Aawaz members have a wealth of talent that includes singing and dancing. The judges had a difficult time in deciding the winner, so much so that all the entries received a prize. Aawaz would like to thank all who participated for all their effort in producing a wonderful performance.

During the second week of the Easter holidays 55 women and children had a tremendous day out at Chester Zoo.

All the children, mothers and ladies had an excellent time seeing all the different animals and attractions at the zoo. Especially the new baby animals that have arrived this year. We all enjoyed having a picnic in the sun with friends and watching the animals.
