Aawaz welcomed the Leader of the Council Cllr Munsif Dad at Accesspoint today, Cllr Dad met the ladies participating in the Sewing Friends Group. 

The £1000 grant is used to set up the Sewing Friends Group to help and support women in learning new skills, improve their feeling of health and wellbeing.

Aawaz Chair Mrs Noshin Hussain said “We really appreciate the support from the Hyndburn Council for our charitable work. The CAF grant is assisting Aawaz charity in offering our service users extra help and support through informal activities like the “Sewing Friends Group”. Where the ladies can come together learn new skills, make friends and feel supported.”
