Aawaz held a very useful and important information session for the ladies to help them learn about breast cancer. Health Improvement Specialist Practitioner and a Volunteer from Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust attended AAWAZ Access Point to giave a very informative and helpful talk around breast cancer awareness, which is the most common form of cancer in the UK. The ladies learned about the importance of regularly checking for anomalies or lumps and attending breast screening.

Ladies appreciated the message that they should not ignore changes, signs or symptoms and they should not worry about wasting the GPs time. It is better to have any concerns checked to enable early detection that allows for prompt treatment, as more women are now surviving breast cancer.
