Aawaz charity is celebrating the launch of HUM arts project exhibition on 19th September 2016.
The exhibition will be officially opened at 11am by the Mayor of Hyndburn Borough Council, Councillor Tim O’Kane, watched by the project participants, their family members and the partner organisations.
This little exhibition gives a taste of some of the HUM project activities undertaken at Aawaz Accesspoint.
Mrs Jean Battle, the Patron of the Charity said “Aawaz have a holistic approach to introducing the ladies to arts, and helping them to use art as a means of coping and managing their life issues”. She explained that “Aawaz has an open door policy and welcomes everyone, Aawaz try and signpost where possible but for most of the women they require bilingual help, this is a holistic project introducing the ladies to arts and it has been very well received”.
The Exhibition will run from 19th September to 2nd October 2016 in the Market Hall and then move to Accrington Library from 3rd to 21st October 2016.
