The Mayor talked to the ladies about what it is like to be a Mayor and the numerous activities and events she has participated in this year. The Mayor brought in many photos showing what she has been doing working as a Mayor, this was very interesting and many ladies asked questions about the duties of the Mayor and Mayoress.
The Mayor explained that she has many interests and works very hard for the community supporting local schools and charities. The ladies thanked the Mayor for giving her time to visit them.
The Mayor of Hyndburn Councillor Judith Addison said “that it was good come to AAWAZ and meet some of the ladies I had seen at the AAWAZ Women of Achievement event. I hope the ladies will benefit from speaking to me and helps them to see the different roles women can play in society.
