AAWAZ charity organisation is getting ready to celebrate the progress and achievement of the charity’s service users who are all women from diverse backgrounds.

International Women’s Day this year is about “BalanceforBetter” . Where everyone has a part to play. Aawaz charity works to improve life opportunities for women and families. Aawaz charity in its unique way is doing just that by assisting women to make progress, be more confident and communicate better in English to be able to have their say” explained Aawaz Patron Councillor Jean Battle.

Aawaz Volunteers are getting ready to welcome 185 guests from across the county along with the Mayor of Hyndburn Cllr Mohammad Ayub and his Mayoress heading the list of dignitaries. Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council Miles Parkinson, Mayor and Mayoress of Pendle, Cllr. James Keith Starkie and Mrs. Janet Starkie and the Chairman of Lancashire County Council County Councillor Terry Aldridge are also attending.

The event is a multicultural celebration to acknowledge all the hard work that many of the ladies who attend Aawaz activities put in to help them to improve their life chances and to learn new skills.
